Lauren Welbourne is a postdoctoral researcher working with Professor Miguel Eckstein in the Vision & Image Understanding lab. She has a research background in color vision, color blindness, and low-level visual perception, and uses psychophysical and fMRI methods. Lauren received her B.Sc. in Psychology from Newcastle University, UK, and her M.Res. and Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of York, UK.

Her current research focuses on how objects are represented in the cortex, and how scene context influences the perception of objects.
