Biography

Tyler is a postdoctoral researcher working with Dr. Michael Miller. His research spans molecular and cortical-level components of human brain systems in an effort to explain inter-individual variability in behavioral phenotypes. Tyler received B.A. degrees in Psychology and Political Science from UC Santa Barbara in 2011, and he received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Virginia in 2017. His dissertation combined methods from cognitive neuroscience, imaging epigenetics, and statistical machine learning to develop gene-brain-behavior models for social cognition.
