Leandro Calcagnotto holds undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Communication, a minor in Education and Applied Psychology, and specific coursework in emergency medical care from UC Santa Barbara. He has two years of cumulative research experience in social and developmental psychology, media neuroscience, and school psychology. This is supplemented by one full year of working in clinical trials research in neurology. His intellectual curiosities are in the potential synergistic and buffering effects of mindfulness and cognitive training for patients with medical conditions or psychological disorders. He is currently working as a Post-Baccalaureate research intern at UCSB’s Center for Mindfulness and Human Potential, studying cognitive plasticity and mindfulness.
