Research

My research focuses on understanding how children and adults come to understand and respond to the social identities of those around them. Most of my current research focuses on perceptions of individuals with "intermediate" identities, or rather individuals whose identities tend to fall in-between other dominant social groups (e.g., biracial and bisexual individuals).
