Undergraduate Studies:
Academic Advising
Tips for Pre-Psychology Students
Peer Advisors There is a Psychology Peer Advisor and a Biopsychology Peer Advisor available to answer your questions regarding courses, the majors and planning your schedule. You can also email the Peers (peeradv@psych.ucsb.edu). Education Abroad Program (EAP) If you are planning to apply for EAP, you must have the Undergraduate Advisor sign your application. You will need to set up an appointment with the advisor so that you can discuss your progress in the major. You should also bring descriptions of the Psychology courses you plan to take while abroad. Because EAP applications are often due at very busy times in the quarter, please plan ahead and make an appointment early. The Undergraduate Advisor must meet with you to review your information; he/she cannot just sign your application. Degree Checks The Undergraduate Advisors or the Peer Advisors can help you check your progress in the major. Progress for general education requirements should be checked with the College of Letters & Science. You can obtain a junior progress check from the College of Letters & Science and a senior progress check from the Registrar’s Office. Class
