am a visiting graduate student from Leuven, Belgium. I am currently working towards my masters thesis promoted by Norbert Vanbeselaere (Leuven University). We are investigating acculturation expectations held by members of the majority host group against citizens with Maroccon and Turkish cultural backgrounds, and the role of intergroup contact, social identity and categorization perspectives in the acculturation issue. I am here for a seven-month internship at the lab of David Hamilton. Our research focuses on cognitive processes in the encoding, inferential or judging processes in the use of social information in perceiving others, e.g. others or groups.
