Bella M. DePaulo is a Visiting Professor in Social Psychology. For more than 20 years, she has studied the communication of deception. More recently, she has also been studying the social psychology of singles. Bella DePaulo received her Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1979. She is the author of more than 100 publications, and her work has been funded by NSF, NIMH, and the National Academy of Education. She is currently the Chair of the Board of Academic Advisors of the American Association for Single People and was previously the Chair of the Society of Experimental Social Psychology.
