Tim Preston is a visiting researcher in the Department of Psychology, UCSB where he works using functional magnetic resonance imaging to study visual perception. Tim obtained his Masters degree in Chemistry from Magdalen College, University of Oxford and his Masters degree in Neuroscience from The Queen's College, University of Oxford. His research interests include perceptual decision making and, more specifically, the mechanisms by which the brain is able to construct a coherent 3D representation of the environment from ambiguous visual information.
