Mariela Polkow completed her B.A. in Sociology at UCSB in 2001. . Her professional experience includes a two-year supervisory position at St. Vincent’s School (a school for at-risk teenagers). As part of this experience, she was involved in extensive counseling activities. She is currently a post graduate researcher working with Professor Bugental. For the past two years, she has served as a researcher and home visitor on the Family Thriving Program, a child abuse prevention program supported by the National Institutes of Health.
