Dr. Binh Pham completed her doctorate degree from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 1992. Her coursework included advanced quantitative methods and computer science. In the last year, Binh has successfully conducted a number of studies investigating whether humans are able to learn about distracting structures embedded in images in order to efficiently discount them. Some of the results based on her work have been published at the 2003 Proceedings for the SPIE Conference on Medical Imaging and have been submitted for publication to the IEEE Transaction on Medical Imaging journal.
