Danielle Menzies-Toman received her Ph.D in social psychology from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 2007. Her Ph.D research focused on relationship motives (based on self-determination theory), commitment motivated cognition, and relationship maintenance processes. Her main research interest is in examining the diversity of relationship motives that underlie commitment to a romantic relationship and the associated cognitions and behaviours that either promote or undermine personal and relational well-being. She is currently extending her thesis research findings by associating different relationship motives with approach and avoidance relationship goals, and the resulting biases in the attention to, memory for, and interpretation of relationship information. She is collaborating with Professor Shelly Gable, and is sponsored by the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la société et la culture (FQRSC). Contact Information Phone: n/a Mailing Address
