Pete Khooshabeh is a visiting researcher from the USC Institute for Creative Technologies, where he is currently funded by the Army Research Laboratory as a postdoctoral fellow. At UCSB, Pete is primarily collaborating with Dr. Jim Blascovich and the ReCVEB to study how humans evaluate social dimensions of interactions with virtual humans that have advanced technological capabilities. Pete received his Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley and his PhD from the UCSB Psychology Department in 2009, where he studied mental rotation and other facets of spatial thinking with Dr. Mary Hegarty. His other research interests are in human-computer interaction.
