Ms. Diamond received her B.A. from UCLA in 1970, then becoming a Principal Public Administration Analyst in the Neurology Department at UCLA School of Medicine. At UCLA, she performed research on Parkinson’s disease and inner ear mechanisms. Currently Ms. Diamond is a Visiting Postgraduate Researcher. At UCSB, Ms. Diamond collaborates with Dr. Charles Markham who is a visiting Professor Emeritus from UCLA School of Medicine. Together they perform research on the gravity receptors in the human inner ear, the reflex control they exert over eye movements, particularly torsional eye movements, and the relation of the otolith system to space motion sickness.
