Andrew C. Beall, Ph.D.
Project Scientist

Dr. Andrew Beall completed his Ph.D. in Psychology at UCSB in 1998. He is currently an assistant researcher working in the Research Center for Virtual Environments and Behavior located within the Department of Psychology. His research interests include visual control of locomotion, collaborative virtual environments, perception of visual space, and advanced displays and controls. He has developed extensive tools for conducting behavioral research using immersive virtual environment technology. Dr. Beall has also developed and taught several courses for undergraduates, graduates, and faculty, both in Psychology and Computer Science, dealing with computer graphics and virtual reality in research. He was a co-leader (with Jim Blascovich) of a one-week workshop in Australia and a two-week NSF-funded summer workshop at UCSB, both of which taught social psychologists how to use virtual reality technology in their research.
