UCSB Brain Imaging Center
Dean Martin Moskovits has announced the establishment of the UCSB Brain Imaging
Center, housed in the Department of Psychology and inaugurally directed by
Professor Greg Ashby. The main activity of the center will be functional brain
imaging directed at studying the neural correlates of sensory, perceptual,
cognitive, social, and language systems in humans. The research operations
of the Center will be overseen by an interdisciplinary Research Policy Committee
that includes Professors Greg Ashby, Roger Ingham, and Mike Miller, and a distinguished
Advisory Committee that includes Michael Gazzaniga (Dartmouth/UCSB, Chair of
the committee), Mark D'Esposito (UC Berkeley), Marcus Raichle (Washington University,
St. Louis), Larry Harter (Department of Psychology & Pueblo Radiology Medical
Group), Charles Markham (UCLA Emeritus Professor), and Ron Werft (CEO of Cottage
Hospital in Santa Barbara), as well as Professors Greg Ashby, Jim Blascovich,
and Mike Miller.
