Undergraduate School: University of Virginia
Year in Program (for 07-08): Second
I'm originally from Rockville, Maryland (right outside of D.C.). And no,
I don't miss the snow, but I do miss the thunderstorms. Currently I'm
researching individuals' psychological and physiological responses to
racial and gender discrimination. More specifically, I'm interested in
the process of confronting discrimination, the role of in-group identification
and social support in shaping responses to discrimination, and the divergence
between implicit and explicit attitudes. In my spare time I enjoy reading,
traveling, and ineptly rollerblading by the beach.
